K-AR: The Augmented Reality Platform with Recognition and Position Tracking technology

K-AR enables Kishino to develop & deploy AR experiences with has high accuracy, low latency, high update rate, high scalability and is competitively priced. Kishino's bespoke customisation delivers value in the following areas:

Position Tracking

Marker and marker-less Position Tracking is one of the key technologies in the field of Augmented Reality as accurate location tracking and positioning is key to the success of any deployment. Initially, marker-based tracking was researched and developed due to its simplicity and robustness. However, the need to rely on a printed marker was not suitable for many real-world applications.

K-AR enables Kishino to develop both marker and marker-less experiences, allowing us to offer a robust solution for the widest potential scenarios.

Scalability

Current AR platforms can only support up to 100 products at best.  This makes the solution un-workable for retailers.  Kishino have worked out how to scale to 20,000 products, making our solution the only potential solution in the market place that can scale to this size.  (Other competitors can only scale to 100 and AR Toolkit can only scale to 10).

Rapid Development

We have developed some bespoke 'cookie cutter' components that are core to AR experiences, enabling us to re-use components across clients, thus speeding up delivery, reducing costs and enhancing our overall proposition.

Sound

Kishino have implemented sound into the AR experiences, to bring objects even further into the real world (e.g. a watch ticking or a kettle boiling).

Animation

Kishino have pioneered the development of adding animation to augmentations providing true differentiation, bringing products to life and adding a sprinkling of retail magic.

That's Harry and Hermione flying round the castle - if you look closely you can see the heads turn of the characters who are standing on the ground.
